Soundslice combines notation, audio, and video in a browser, with tools for practice and teaching. It can record performances too. Afinar brings your scores, websites, instrument tone, and takes into one Mac app.
What Soundslice offers.
A browser-based player. Open Soundslice on supported computers, tablets, and phones. Afinar is a Mac app.
Notation tools. Import supported notation files or scan PDFs and images into editable notation, then review and correct the result. Scanning limits depend on the plan, with limited free trial scans. You can also practice with the original scanned score image.
Teaching and sharing. Soundslice offers shareable scores, website embeds, and private teaching courses. Features and limits depend on the plan or licensing arrangement. Afinar lets you export and share your practice takes.
Recorded performances. Soundslice can record audio directly and accept uploaded audio or video performances. Availability depends on the plan or teacher access. See Soundslice’s performance guide.
Sync the score and music. Set sync points manually, or use automatic notation and audio alignment on paid plans. See Soundslice’s automatic syncing guide.
Practice with stems. Soundslice can generate or accept stems for MP3 recordings. Stems are unavailable in its older-device mode. See Soundslice’s stem guide.

Your take with the music. Record yourself with the music and keep the take with the song. Use Tone Off to hear your playing without Afinar’s effects.
Instrument tone. Play through Afinar’s amps and effects or import a compatible NAM amp-and-speaker rig.
Your sources together. Open tab and lesson sites, read PDFs and chart files, and return to their takes from one library.
Shape your practice and your takes. Make your own stem mix, record video, and change a saved take’s sound with ToneSwap.
Score following. Afinar tries to sync your score to the recording. Teach it the timing when it needs a hand, or use steady scrolling.
